Since commencing operations in March 1997 the company continues to grow and exerts its presence in numerous Projects in the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Engineering – Wells Advisor III Location: Lagos Employment Type: Contract Main Functions Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completingof drilling programs. The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broaderorganization. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Tasks and Responsibilities: Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures . Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor) Review and respond to spec deviation requests . Review drawings and specifications . Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines. Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations. Support construction and commissioning efforts as required Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT's and package acceptance . Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies. Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers. Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities. Job Requirements: Skills and Qualifications: Advanced analytical and computing skills . Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO) . Strong interpersonal and communication skills . Adaptability to changing priorities . Ability to organize and progress own work schedule . Extensive experience: in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning . Degree in an Engineering discipline (mechanical or Civil preferably) . Experience: working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders . Experienc erequired in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design. Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.
