We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Logistics Analyst Location: Ndola Cement, Zambia Responsibilities: Vendor and Carrier Coordination: Assist in contract negotiations, manage Assist the Head of Logistics in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to and from plant by third party transporters. Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics and supply chain data to support business decisions relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers, and resolve operational disruptions. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track logistics performance and trends. Develop & implement a robust Data Strategy including automation and modelling Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. Identify inefficiencies in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, proposing actionable solutions. Own Daily, Weekly and Monthly Performance Measurement & Reporting at departmental and Business Unit Level. Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects. Responsible for analysing, optimising, and managing third party transport operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Third Party Transporters: Own Customer & Segment Analysis to inform strategic and tactical interventions. Assist in weekly and monthly forecasting demand and planning inventory levels to optimize stock availability. Requirements: Very good communication skills. Proficiency in the use of MS Office Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related discipline. Ability to work well within a team. Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, and able to effectively leverage technology with attention to detail Full Grade 12 School Certificate Good problem-solving skills. Minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience. Good knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings. Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislation relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
