Business Development & Customer Acquisition: Promote the Bank's products and services to prospective and existing customers. Develop and execute sales plans to achieve assigned business targets. Conduct market mapping and identify business opportunities across key sectors. Identify, prospect, and acquire new SME customers within the assigned territory. Build relationships with business owners, trade associations, cooperatives, and other potential business sources. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers. Liability Generation: Achieve assigned liability generation targets. Mobilize deposits through current accounts, savings accounts, fixed deposits, and other liability products. Develop strategies to retain deposit customers and grow account balances. Increase CASA balances by attracting and retaining low-cost deposits. Risk Asset Generation: Conduct preliminary customer and business assessments before recommending credit facilities. Ensure facilities booked comply with the Bank's credit policy and lending guidelines. Work with Credit Risk and Credit Administration to facilitate timely loan approvals and disbursements. Gather and verify customer information and supporting documentation. Source and originate quality credit facilities for eligible SME customers. Prepare complete and accurate credit applications for processing. Portfolio Management, Collections & Recoveries: Maintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR) at or below the Bank's approved threshold. Conduct regular post-disbursement monitoring visits. Ensure Non-Performing Loans (NPL) remain within approved limits. Manage assigned customer portfolios to ensure satisfactory performance. Escalate delinquent accounts in line with the Bank's recovery procedures. Follow up on overdue obligations and implement recovery actions promptly. Monitor customer repayment performance and identify early warning signals. Customer Relationship Management: Conduct regular customer visits to understand customers' business needs and identify growth opportunities. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned customers. Provide timely responses to customer enquiries and resolve service issues. Product Marketing & Cross-Selling: Cross-sell the Bank's products and services to existing customers. Encourage customers to adopt additional banking products based on their business needs. Increase product penetration within the assigned customer portfolio. Promote digital banking channels and electronic payment solutions. Credit Monitoring & Risk Management: Promptly report adverse changes affecting customers' businesses. Support recovery efforts on delinquent accounts. Ensure timely submission of monitoring reports. Monitor collateral and security documentation where applicable. Conduct periodic business visits to monitor customers' operations and repayment capacity. Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure proper completion of customer onboarding documentation. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of customer information. Ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies, operational procedures, and service standards. Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and ethically. Comply with CBN regulations and guidelines, AML/CFT requirements, KYC standards, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Reporting & Administration: Track performance against assigned business targets. Provide timely market intelligence and competitor information. Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or any other related discipline. Minimum of 5 years' experience: in Business Development, SME Banking, Commercial Banking, Marketing, Relationship Management, or a similar role.
