We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the smooth running of our hotel kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean, sanitized, and organized at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools promptly and properly. Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by running errands or carrying out quick prep tasks. Refill kitchen stock (spices, ingredients, utensils) as directed by the Chef or Cook. Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor. Receive, unpack, and store food supplies in designated areas following proper storage procedures. Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals. Dispose of kitchen waste safely and in compliance with hygiene regulations. Qualifications & Skills Willingness to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions. Previous experience: as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar support role (preferred but not mandatory). Candidates should possess a SSCE / GCE / NECO with 1 year experience: as Good physical stamina – ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
