Perform complex tasks and able to interface with C level executives. Install, terminate, label and test cabling related to telecom circuit demarcation extensions. Can read blueprints and drawings. Troubleshoot, operating and maintaining equipment during field dispatches. Able to lift equipment weighing over 45 lbs. Perform the work in a professional manner. Perform work on high complexity equipment. Can provide training to end users and other techs on equipment. Certifications related to equipment supported for break fix. Able to train Level 1 and 2 technicians and lead a team of technicians. Able to repair most field issues and troubleshoot, operate, repair and maintain medium complexity equipment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to place, connect and activate telephone devices. Can handle low complexity installs, moves, repairs, uninstalls, site survey, triage, vendor escort, rack and stack equipment, install/swap out network equipment including switches and routers. Requirements: Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are an advantage. Technical Degree or certifications related to equipment supported. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. More than 9 years experience: in network support or a similar role. Basic understanding of Windows server environments and Active Directory is an advantage. Experience: with Cisco or similar networking equipment. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Engineer pre-requisites/Tools needed The engineer will need: Engineering tool kit. Networking support knowledge obtained in the field and appropriate OEM device specific training and certification needed to work on the OEM products. laptop running Microsoft Operating system (minimum Windows 11 but subject to change Console Cable A terminal emulator program.
