We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Maintenance Inspection Officer Job Reference: 2026-44305 Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Job Responsibilities: Facilities Inspection & Asset Condition Monitoring: Evaluate building systems against established performance standards. Maintain facility inspection schedules and programs. Perform condition assessments and asset health reviews. Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections of facilities, infrastructure, and technical systems. Generate inspection reports with prioritized recommendations. Assess physical condition, functionality, integrity, and operational readiness of assets. Identify defects, deterioration, maintenance needs, and safety hazards. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Management: Verify proper execution of corrective maintenance activities. Ensure optimization of asset life-cycle performance. Conduct post-maintenance inspections to assure work quality. Monitor maintenance backlog and closure performance. Support development of maintenance strategies and maintenance plans. Monitor compliance with approved maintenance schedules. Coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Asset Integrity & Reliability Assurance: Recommend asset improvement and replacement initiatives. Support asset integrity management programs. Identify risks affecting asset availability and business continuity. Monitor critical equipment performance and reliability. Support reliability-centred maintenance initiatives. Participate in root cause investigations of major failures. Facilities Risk Management: Recommend mitigation plans for identified risks. Identify facility-related operational risks. Support hazard identification and risk assessments. Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives Monitor critical equipment and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Profile Qualifications / Experience: Required: Working experience: in sap pm, or other CMMS platform, Building Management system, MS Office suite, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and Power Apps would be an advantage. Minimum of 5-8 years post NYSC professional work experience. HSEQ principles and methodologies of the local or global oil and gas industry would be an advantage. Good HND or University Degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering. Experience: in operation and maintenance of commercial buildings, industrial facilities, oil & gas installations, airports, hotels, hospitals, or large infrastructure environments. Working knowledge of: Effective communication skills in English Language demonstrated in oral and written business communications with people and business presentation skillset. Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise operating system. Experience: managing critical power systems and building infrastructure. Trained or certified Auditor. Accountabilities: Assists in maintaining ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 certifications for company facilities which is a measure of the company’s corporate image. Contributes to ensuring equipment reliability and availability as a measure of service quality. Maintain an up-to-date asset register for FM&A LOS/ABJ to aid facility tracking and management. Closely related to HSE in operations to help in guaranteeing safe work processes and environment. HSE Objectives: Support the anomaly and downgraded situations tracking and closure process. Assists in ensuring closure of outstanding FM&A Synergy recommendations. Supports the Permit to Work (PTW) process & Perfect Day initiative at his location. Assists in the renewal of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 certifications for Company's facilities. Familiarize self with Company's emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities: safely and report any incident, unsafe act or operation.
