Fixed Asset Accountant & Receivable Analyst Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate Experience: 5 years Location Nigeria Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Fixed Asset Accountant & Receivable Analyst is responsible for coordinating the efficient management and maintenance of Egbin's fixed assets portfolio, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of all non-current assets in line with IFRS and organisational accounting policies. Manage the organisation account’s receivable function, ensuring the timely collection of customer payments, accurate invoicing, and proactive resolution of billing or payment disputes. Provide reliable, well-reconciled asset and receivable data and reports to support management decision-making, statutory audits, tax planning, and capital budgeting. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for recording the cost of newly acquired non-current Assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing non-current Assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of all non-current Assets. Search for innovative ways to structure Assets to enjoy tax benefits. Track and review non-current Asset additions against approvals. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the registering and recording of all non-current Asset. Assign tag numbers to non-current Assets of the Company. Reconcile the balance in the Asset ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger. Calculate depreciation for all plant non-current Assets. Review and update the detailed schedule of Assets and accumulated depreciation. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of all non-current Assets. Track plant expenditures for non-current Assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorisations. Responsible for Assets disposal in line with asset disposal policy. In charge of collecting payments from customers and ensure they are done on time. Prepare receivable reports at regular intervals (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually). Processing and organising of bills, records and invoices ensuring quality maintenance at every step. Negotiate and settle non-payment disputes with customers efficiently. Keep in touch with the industry's best practices and maintaining the billing system. Generating invoices, account statements and perform account reconciliations. Education: & Work Experience: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related discipline. Relevant professional certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA). Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience. Skills and competence Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the power industry. Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Local and International Accounting Standards, Fixed asset reporting, Depreciation and amortization, Asset revaluation and valuation, Local accounting regulations and Cost and financial accounting.
