We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Biomedical Engineer Location: Benin City, Edo Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and management of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies. Participate in equipment procurement, evaluation, and commissioning. Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical equipment. Recommend replacement or upgrade of obsolete equipment when necessary. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on medical devices. Perform equipment calibration, testing, and safety checks. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies. Train healthcare staff on the proper use and handling of medical equipment. Liaise with equipment vendors for servicing, upgrades, and warranty claims. Education: & Experience: 2–3 years relevant experience: in biomedical equipment maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting. Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Tech.) or HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certification or relevant technical training is an added advantage. Required Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems. Strong technical knowledge of biomedical and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Good organizational and documentation skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements: High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient care.
