ABNL is a 100% owned indigenous firm, with a shareholding in excess of 100 million Naira. Its' directors are individuals of proven integrity, who over the years have acquired the requisite experience: in the Oil and Gas business, as well as in the banking and finance sector. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Engineering - Marine Advisor I Location: Yoho FSO, Akwa Ibom Employment Type: Contract Main Functions This will include assisting with the management and oversight of all associated critical contractors including tug, and port services providers. Works to assure the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers. Tasks and Responsibilities: Implement additional systems and practices that are required. Provide project management services, and oversight of Marine Terminal related projects. Review and update documents, manuals and procedures (Continuous Improvement). Assist with implementation and improvement of company Best Practices. Prepare and author training documents and assessment packages. Make recommendations for improving safety. Perform technical writing services. Streamline and enhance operating practices. Perform vessel inspections and Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) related assessments. Provide assistance with, and oversight of Controls relates activities including marine fueling. Prepare for, and implement industry best practices (Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment (MTMSA). and Marine Terminal Operator Competence & Training (MTOCT)). Provide operational efficiency related advice. Perform marine coordination duties when required, this includes but is not limited to: Personnel Transfer. Loading Master. PTWS. Coordination of tugs and port services: Coordination of the Safety/Surveillance vessel. Coordination of general and other activities at the marine terminal. Support contractor interfacing and management through application of the oi System (oi) 8-1 practices including: Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) leadership programs. Self-monitoring reporting. Preparation of Interface Management Plan (IMP). Contractor Work Crew Evaluation. Subcontractor management. SSHE execution plan including gap closure plan. Preparation for the Kick Off Meeting. Contractor assessment. Skills and Qualifications Candidates without the above requirements: will be considered, dependent on experience. Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’. Prior marine experience: as a senior officer position - required. Master Mariners license - required. University degree preferred. Experience: in the company operations organization – preferred. Knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1. Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices.
