We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Fleet Tracking Officer Location: Sango Ota, Ogun Job Summary The Fleet Tracking Officer is responsible for monitoring the real-time movement of trucks transporting company products from warehouses to customers and depots. The role ensures complete visibility of vehicles in transit, proactively identifies delays, route deviations, security risks, and operational issues, and coordinates timely interventions to ensure safe and on-time deliveries. Key Responsibilities: Real-Time Monitoring: Track truck locations, movement, speed, and estimated time of arrival (ETA). Ensure every dispatched truck remains visible until delivery is completed. Monitor truck seals and delivery milestones where applicable. Monitor all trucks in transit using GPS tracking systems/fleet management platforms. Transit Coordination: Support route optimization and recovery plans where required. Escalate delays, breakdowns, accidents, security threats, or unauthorized stops. Maintain continuous communication with drivers and transport providers. Update warehouses, customer service, and sales teams on delivery progress. Incident Management: Coordinate with Security, Truck providers, Logistics operations team Maintain incident logs and follow up until issues are resolved. Immediately report truck diversion, hijacking, theft, accidents, or prolonged delays. Compliance: Ensure adherence to approved routes and journey management procedures. Ensure GIT insurance for all transporters are valid and value per carriage meets the minimum standard. Verify adherence to safety and security protocols. Monitor transporter compliance with company transportation standards. Coordinate pre-trip inspection for every truck before assigning shipment Reporting: Daily Key Performance Indicator Report (KPI) Produce daily truck movement and delivery status reports. Maintain accurate records of communications and transit activities. Daily pan-Nigeria depot operations report Document route deviations, detention time, and delivery exceptions. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Delivery status update timeliness per sales area. Rate of GIT compliance per / transporter. On-Time& In-Full (OTIF). Truck visibility rate. Route deviation resolution time. Daily reporting accuracy. Incident response time. ETA accuracy. Requirements: Qualifications: 2–4years of experience: in logistics, fleet monitoring, or transportation operations. Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field. Skills: Knowledge of GPS and fleet management systems. Excellent communication. Strong analytical(excel)and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Ability to multitask.
