Able to identify, analyze and resolve basic troubleshooting items but defers to supervisor or Level 1 tech for more complex hardware issues. Has basic knowledge of the organization's equipment and associated software and services. Able to answer basic user questions about equipment features. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains desktop and workstation equipment and software including telephones (std & VOIP), desktop/laptop computers (WIN7, WIN10, MAC OS), and printers. Requirements: Basic understanding of Windows server environments and Active Directory is an advantage. 2–5 years experience: in network support or a similar role. Experience: with Cisco or similar networking equipment. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are an advantage. Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP. Engineer pre-requisites/Tools needed The engineer will need: Engineering tool kit. Teams or Webex applications for connection with Customer network NOC if required Networking support knowledge obtained in the field and appropriate OEM device specific training and certification needed to work on the OEM products.
