We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief, Finance & Accounts with strong construction industry experience: to lead the Finance & Accounts function of the Company. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational financial leadership, ensuring effective financial planning, project cost control, liquidity management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, audit, risk management, and internal controls. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of construction/project-based accounting and financial management, with the ability to provide accurate financial insights that support project profitability, cost control, compliance, and overall business growth. Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and applicable statutory requirements. Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and other departments to ensure effective project financial management. Oversee internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Assess, manage, and minimize financial and operational risks. Oversee financial management and reporting for construction projects. Ensure effective financial controls over procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, payroll, project expenditure, and other financial transactions. Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team. Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls. Oversee tax planning, compliance, and statutory financial obligations. Analyze project financial performance and provide timely reports and recommendations to Executive Management. Provide strategic financial leadership and advice to Executive Management. Ensure compliance with Company policies, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial best practices. Strengthen internal controls and financial governance across the organization. Analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy. Direct and monitor all financial activities of the organization. Manage Company liquidity, cash flow, working capital, and financial resources. Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, variations, revenue, profitability, and cash flow. Requirements: & Qualifications Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, financial analysis, and internal controls. Proven experience: managing the financial aspects of multiple construction projects. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA will be an added advantage. Minimum of 10 years' relevant professional experience, with significant experience: in a senior finance/accounting leadership position. Experience: working closely with Project Management, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, and Operations teams. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience: in the construction industry is mandatory. Strong financial management and reporting experience: in a project-driven environment. Good understanding of construction contracts, subcontractor payments, project costs, variations, retention, commitments, and project financial reporting. Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is required. Strong experience: in construction/project accounting, project cost management, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and project profitability analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting/ERP systems.
