Original source description
This is not simply a traditional video-editing position. The AI Video Editor will be responsible for producing high-performing video advertising creatives at scale using AI video-generation tools, editing software, existing footage, voiceovers, avatars and other approved creative resources. The successful candidate must understand how video content works within a direct-response advertising environment and be able to transform scripts and creative concepts into engaging advertisements that capture attention, communicate an offer clearly, generate qualified leads and contribute to profitable advertising performance. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the Head of Brand & Creative, Creative Strategists and Media Buyers. Continuously improve the quality, realism and effectiveness of AI-generated content. Format and export creatives correctly for platforms including Meta, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and other advertising platforms. Combine AI-generated footage with real footage, stock footage, screenshots, graphics, text overlays and other creative assets. Study advertising performance and apply insights from winning creatives to future productions. Add subtitles, captions, transitions, sound effects, music and other visual elements where appropriate. Generate realistic and engaging AI presenters, scenes, voiceovers, product visuals and supporting footage where appropriate. Maintain organised project files and properly label final exports. Create multiple variations of successful advertisements by changing hooks, openings, pacing, visuals, voiceovers, CTAs and other elements. Produce AI-generated video advertisements from scripts and creative briefs provided by the Brand & Creative team. Complete revisions promptly following feedback from the Head of Brand & Creative. Edit doctor-led, UGC-style, testimonial-style, educational and direct-response advertisements. Performance Evaluation Performance will be evaluated based on: Advertising Performance: Contribution of the editor's creatives to successful advertising campaigns. Creative Judgement: Ability to turn briefs and scripts into compelling visual executions. Speed: Ability to deliver work and revisions within agreed timelines. Iteration: Ability to learn from winning and losing creatives. Quality: Visual quality, realism, editing, audio, captions and overall execution. Performance will not be evaluated purely by the number of videos produced. The objective is useful advertising output that contributes to Dokitami's commercial goals. Creative Output: Ability to consistently produce the required volume of usable advertisements. Ownership: Ability to identify problems and solve them without requiring constant supervision. Reliability: Attendance, responsiveness, communication and meeting deadlines. Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who: Has a portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant video-editing and/or advertising work. Has experience: using AI-powered video or creative production tools. Has strong video editing skills and a good understanding of visual storytelling. Can receive feedback and implement revisions quickly. Can work independently in a fully remote environment. Direct-Response Advertising The successful candidate is expected to develop a working understanding of direct-response advertising. Every advertisement should be built around the following general structure: The editor should understand how creative decisions such as the first three seconds, pacing, visual changes, captions, pattern interrupts, voice delivery and CTA presentation can influence advertising performance. Hook → Problem/Desire → Message → Solution/Offer → Proof/Reason to Believe → CTA The objective is not simply to create visually attractive videos, but to create videos that effectively communicate, engage the audience and support campaign performance. Creative Briefs & Production: Editors will ordinarily receive a script, concept or creative brief. Before beginning production, the editor should understand: Core message Desired visual style Target audience Hook Advertising angle Platform. Product or programme CTA Required variations: The successful candidate is expected to exercise good creative judgement rather than mechanically assembling a script. Where a concept can be significantly strengthened through a different visual execution, the editor should communicate the recommendation to the Creative Strategist or Head of Brand & Creative. AI Tools & Continuous Learning: The successful candidate will be expected to continuously research and learn new AI tools and production methods. AI video technology changes rapidly. Depending on the creative requirement, Dokitami may use AI tools for: Editors should not become dependent on a single tool. The expectation is to identify and use the best available method for achieving the required creative result. Video generation Upscaling Motion Product visualisation AI avatars AI editing Character consistency Background replacement Voice generation Image generation Lip syncing Creative Volume & Variations: A major part of performance creative is intelligently creating variations of concepts that are already working. Dokitami's Brand & Creative department is being built to support a target of approximately 100 advertising creatives per week across the department. The AI Video Editor will contribute substantially to this output. Individual production expectations may vary depending on creative complexity, campaigns, staffing and advertising requirements. Variations may include: Different voices Shorter or longer versions Different CTAs Alternative visual styles The objective is to provide the media-buying team with enough creative diversity to test and scale campaigns while reducing creative fatigue. Alternative B-roll Volume must not come at the expense of quality. Different hooks Different AI actors Different pacing Different opening scenes Different headlines Performance Feedback & Iteration: Advertising performance should influence future creative production. The AI Video Editor will work closely with the Brand & Creative and Media Buying teams. Every Friday, the media-buying team will identify top-performing advertisements so the creative team can study what is working and apply those learnings to new advertisements. Our creative process follows: Research → Strategy → Concept → Script → Production → Launch → Data → Analysis → Iteration → Scale The successful candidate should be comfortable learning from both winning and underperforming creatives. Quality Standards The editor should check for: AI generation errors Obvious AI errors should never knowingly be submitted as finished work. Awkward cuts Poor lip syncing Incorrect product information Wrong aspect ratio or export settings Inconsistent characters Poor audio Unnatural faces, hands or movement Incorrect pricing Unsupported claims Missing CTA Incorrect subtitles Robotic or unnatural voiceovers Incorrect branding Spelling and grammatical errors Every video must be reviewed carefully before submission. Medical & Advertising Accuracy: Dokitami operates in the health and wellness industry, making accuracy particularly important. The AI Video Editor must not independently invent medical claims, product claims, statistics, testimonials or treatment outcomes. If anything in a script or creative brief appears questionable, unclear or inconsistent with approved information, the editor is expected to escalate the issue rather than independently correcting or improvising medical information. Only approved scripts, claims and product information should be used. Brand Standards All creatives must follow Dokitami's approved brand and advertising guidelines. However, performance advertising does not always need to look like polished corporate content. UGC-style, native-looking and intentionally less-polished advertisements may be required where supported by the creative strategy. Editors are expected to maintain consistency in: General production quality Colours Logos Visual presentation Typography Communication & Responsiveness: Employees must maintain an alternative means of contacting HR and the Head of Operations. Work-related communications should generally be responded to within five minutes, except where the employee is actively engaged in work that reasonably prevents an immediate response. Employees who expect to be unavailable must notify the appropriate HR representative or Head of Operations through an approved communication method.
