We are seeking a Finance & Operations Officer to oversee key finance, accounting, audit, controls and operational activities for our client, a growing company within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience: working in financial services, combined with solid audit experience: and a strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting and operational processes. This is not a general accounting role. We are specifically looking for someone who understands how finance functions within a regulated or structured financial services environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day financial and operational activities of the business. Prepare accurate financial reports, management accounts and financial schedules. Handle bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and transaction reviews. Monitor cash flows, payments, receivables and payables. Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation. Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal policies. Develop and maintain effective financial and operational controls. Conduct periodic internal reviews and identify control weaknesses. Support internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Monitor operational processes and recommend improvements where necessary. Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Work closely with management and other departments to improve operational efficiency. Prepare reports and analysis for management decision-making. Identify financial, operational and control risks and escalate appropriately. Support other finance and operational initiatives as assigned by management. Requirements: Male candidate. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. ICAN qualification is mandatory. Minimum of 4 years relevant professional experience. Must have previous experience: working in the financial services industry — candidates without financial services experience: should not apply. Must have audit experience, preferably internal audit, external audit or financial controls/audit within financial services. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations. Good understanding of internal controls, risk management and audit processes. Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to work fully onsite in Lekki, Monday–Friday.
