Key Responsibilities: Monitor exploration and mining activities to ensure compliance with approved technical, environmental, safety and regulatory standards. Keep abreast of developments in the Nigerian mining industry, mineral markets and applicable regulations. Analyse geological and exploration data and prepare technical reports for management. Lead and support mineral exploration activities, including geological investigations and resource identification. Monitor project budgets, timelines and deliverables. Coordinate with geological consultants, mining contractors, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders. Conduct and coordinate field studies, sampling, mapping and other exploration activities. Support feasibility studies and the development of mining plans and project proposals. Develop and implement exploration plans, programmes and work schedules. Evaluate potential mineral deposits and assess their commercial viability. Support the evaluation and acquisition of prospective mining assets and mineral projects. Identify opportunities to improve exploration efficiency, mineral recovery and project value. Requirements: Proven experience: in mineral exploration, mining operations or mineral resource development. Relevant professional certification or membership of a recognised professional body is an advantage. Ability to work independently and undertake field assignments when required. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Good understanding of Nigeria's mining laws, regulatory requirements: and environmental standards. Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Excellent project management and stakeholder-management abilities.
