We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Locum Pharmacist Location: Benin City / Siluko Road - Edo Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a competent, responsible, and patient-focused Locum Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure the safe dispensing of medications, and provide professional pharmaceutical care to customers. The pharmacist will work on a full-time locum basis, with compensation calculated according to the number of hours worked. Key Responsibilities: Review prescriptions and identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, or dosage concerns. Perform other pharmacy-related duties assigned by Management. Ensure the pharmacy maintains high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service. Supervise pharmacy assistants and other pharmacy personnel where applicable. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor inventory, expiry dates, and stock levels. Report medication, stock, or operational issues to Management promptly. Ensure proper storage, handling, and documentation of medicines. Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and safely. Provide appropriate medication counselling and pharmaceutical advice to customers. Requirements: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations effectively. Strong knowledge of prescription handling, dispensing, and medication counselling. Previous experience: in a retail/community pharmacy is an advantage. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D from a recognized institution. High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail. Current Pharmacist registration/licence with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
