We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Telecommunication Engineer Location: Gbagada, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Project Management (Telecom Infrastructure) Industry: Telecommunication Infrastructure Projects Report To: Project Manager Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to): Maintain accurate project records, including change requests, inspection reports, site documentation, and project close-out documents. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports, site reports, and other project documentation. Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and stakeholders, providing project updates and resolving operational issues promptly. Support project commissioning, handover, and close-out activities. Coordinate site engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution. Conduct routine site inspections and Technical Site Surveys (TSS) to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and provide regular status updates to management. Develop and monitor project schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure timely project delivery. Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Supervise the day-to-day execution of telecom infrastructure projects across assigned sites. Identify project risks, delays, and operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions. Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing telecom infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. Coordinate project logistics, including material deliveries, equipment availability, and workforce scheduling. Track project costs, monitor resource utilization, and report budget variances to the Project Manager. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Proven experience: managing or supporting telecom infrastructure projects, including tower installation, retrofit, audit, operations and maintenance, wireless network deployment, or broadband installations. Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost tracking, and project reporting. Willingness to travel to project sites when required. Preferred certifications include PMP (Project Management Professional),or other relevant project management credentials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience: working with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple project activities simultaneously. 2-3 years hands-on experience: in telecommunications project management, project coordination, or telecom infrastructure project supervision. Ability to work in outdoor environments and conduct site inspections and Technical Site Surveys (TSS). Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Familiarity with telecom equipment such as towers, routers, switches, antennas, and transmission/network infrastructure. Required Competencies: Knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, resource allocation, and project reporting. Experience: coordinating project stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Ability to manage multiple telecom projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget. Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, quality control processes, and HSE compliance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and project documentation.
