It received its license from the Federal Government of Nigeria on 6 December, 2017. It graduated the pioneer set of students on II November, 2022. The University currently operates with two Faculties, namely: the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, and the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. All 12 (Twelve) degree programmes available in the institution are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below: Job Title: University Librarian Location: Ibadan, Oyo Job Summary The position of the University Librarian will soon become vacant. Therefore, the University is seeking to engage an eminently qualified individual to fill the position. He shall coordinate the Library services in the University, its campuses, Colleges, Faculties, Departments, and other teaching or research Units. The University Librarian, who shall be the academic and administrative head of the Library, shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and development of the University Library. The University Librarian, an Academic Staff, shall be a Principal Officer, who will be required to provide both academic and administrative leadership to staff members in the University Library. Requirements: Candidates must possess a good Honours Degree from a recognized University and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences or its equivalent; Must be registered with the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria; Must be ICT-compliant and able to move the University towards Virtual Library Applications and Platforms; Must not be above 60 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty; Possession of a Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage; Must enjoy good health, and be mentally and emotionally stable. Must have, at least, a minimum of fifteen (15) years' cognate post-graduation experience: Must fully understand the complexity of the University System and must be able to effectively utilize its human resources to develop a Library System that will fully support the aspirations of the University to attain world-class status: in University Administration or a similar institution; General Terms and Conditions of Service The University Librarian shall hold office for a term of five years in the first instance and for another term of five years, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the Governing Council and Senate.
