We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Database Administrator (DBA) Job Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain and optimise the organisation's database environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for database availability, performance, security, backup and recovery, capacity management and technical support across the company's technology environment. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain enterprise database environments. Monitor database performance, availability and capacity. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades and patching. Manage database backup, recovery and restoration processes. Monitor database health and resolve performance issues. Implement database security, access controls and user permissions. Perform database tuning and optimisation. Support application teams with database-related technical issues. Develop and maintain database monitoring and maintenance procedures. Support high-availability and disaster recovery requirements. Perform database migrations and upgrades where required. Maintain database documentation and technical standards. Investigate and resolve database incidents. Support data integrity, availability and security requirements. Work with infrastructure, development, security and application support teams. Requirements: Bachelor's degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline. 4+ years of experience: as a Database Administrator. Strong experience: with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or other enterprise databases. Good knowledge of database performance tuning and optimisation. Strong understanding of backup and recovery. Experience: with high availability and disaster recovery. Knowledge of database security and access management. Experience: working in enterprise technology environments. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Relevant database certification will be an advantage.
