We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Plumber Location: Victoria Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The role ensures that water supply, drainage, sanitation, and plumbing facilities across the property remain functional, safe, and in good working condition. The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the hotel's plumbing systems and related equipment. Key Responsibilities: Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when carrying out maintenance work. Attend promptly to plumbing faults, leaks, blocked drains, faulty taps, toilets, showers, sinks, and related fixtures. Respond to emergency plumbing situations, including major leaks, burst pipes, blocked drainage, and water supply failures. Assist with maintenance of water tanks, pumps, drainage systems, and other water-related equipment where required. Work closely with other members of the Maintenance/Engineering team to resolve technical issues. Follow all hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable engineering standards. Maintain proper records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used. Ensure all plumbing tools and equipment are properly maintained and securely stored. Monitor water pressure and identify unusual water consumption or possible leakages. Respond to plumbing-related maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, staff areas, and other hotel facilities. Inspect, maintain, and repair water supply and drainage systems throughout the hotel. Carry out preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment. Ensure that plumbing work in guest rooms is completed promptly and with minimal disruption to guests. Maintain cleanliness of the work area after completing maintenance activities. Install and replace pipes, valves, faucets, sanitary fittings, and other plumbing components. Identify the source of plumbing problems and carry out appropriate repairs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Chief Engineer. Report major faults, recurring problems, or equipment requiring replacement to the Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer. Guest Service Responsibilities: Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when working in guest areas. Minimize noise, disruption, and inconvenience to guests while carrying out repairs. Protect guest property and hotel facilities during maintenance activities. Immediately report any guest-related maintenance concern to the appropriate supervisor.
