We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chemist to support our laboratory, quality control, and production operations. The Chemist will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment. Work closely with the production and quality control teams to resolve quality issues. Ensure compliance with relevant laboratory, food safety, and industrial standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Identify and report deviations from quality specifications. Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare test reports. Conduct chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, process samples, and finished products. Monitor and document product quality at various stages of production. Support quality control, food safety, and laboratory procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Experience: in cassava processing, starch production, bio-ethanol, or agricultural processing is an added advantage. Previous experience: in the food processing industry is a strong advantage. Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, chemical analysis, quality control, and safety standards. 2–5 years' relevant experience: in laboratory analysis, quality control, or a related role. Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
