The accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, compliance with statutory requirements, and financial reporting in line with company policies and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Assist with payroll processing in collaboration with the HR Department. Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and client reconciliations. Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial records, ledgers, and accounts. Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions and compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.). Manage daily accounting entries, including receipts, payments, invoices, and journals. Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expenditure to ensure financial efficiency. Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities. Qualifications & Requirements: Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Must be highly proficient in QuickBooks and have practical experience: using it for day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, reporting, and financial record management. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Nigerian tax regulations. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 4 – 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or a related industry.
