We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Information and Communication Technology Tutor Location: Abeokuta, Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose To provide effective and engaging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) instruction that equips students with essential digital skills, computer literacy, problem-solving abilities, and practical knowledge required for academic success and everyday technological applications. Key Responsibilities: Provide practical training in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, practical exercises, assignments, tests, and examinations. Develop students’ digital literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology skills. Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to improve their performance. Promote responsible, safe, ethical, and appropriate use of computers, the internet, and other digital technologies. Conduct practical sessions and ensure students have adequate hands-on experience: with computers and relevant software. Maintain a positive, disciplined, and conducive learning environment that encourages students to develop confidence in using technology. Ensure proper use, handling, and care of computers, ICT equipment, and other instructional resources. Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the school curriculum and students’ learning needs. Identify students’ learning difficulties and provide appropriate support and additional guidance. Participate in departmental meetings, school activities, training programmes, and other duties assigned by the school management. Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessments, performance, and academic progress. Teach fundamental and advanced computer concepts, including hardware, software, operating systems, and computer applications. Introduce students to basic programming, coding, databases, internet use, and other relevant ICT concepts where applicable. Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations involving ICT/Computer Studies. Keep abreast of current developments and trends in technology and incorporate relevant knowledge into teaching. Required Qualifications and Skills: Strong knowledge of computer applications and digital technologies. Ability to simplify technical concepts and teach students with varying levels of ICT proficiency. Ability to conduct practical and activity-based ICT lessons. Passion for teaching, technology, and students’ development. A Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Education, or a related field. Good communication, interpersonal, and classroom-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant educational/ICT software.
