The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in electrical engineering and be willing to work on-site and in shifts when required. We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Assistant Test Engineer to support electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation activities across various electrical and electromechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Work effectively with senior engineers, technicians, contractors, and other project teams. Assist with testing of transformers, CTs/PTs, relays, HT/LT switchgear, motors, generators, busducts, and switchyards. Assist in troubleshooting faults in control panels, MCCs, generators, motors, distribution boards, and related systems. Support the preparation of test reports, calibration certificates, NCRs, method statements, and as-built documentation. Operate and assist with electrical testing equipment such as Megger and Omicron, under appropriate supervision. Ensure testing activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, safety standards, and project requirements. Perform insulation resistance, continuity, primary injection, and other electrical tests under supervision. Maintain proper records of testing and commissioning activities. Support testing of battery chargers, UPS, Fast Bus Transfer systems, EDG, AVR, SFC, and associated electrical equipment. Assist in testing and commissioning of HV, MV, and LV electrical equipment and systems. Requirements: 0 – 2 years of relevant experience: in electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance, or a related field. Basic understanding of HV/MV/LV electrical systems and testing procedures. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to electrical safety procedures. Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with electrical test equipment such as Megger, Omicron, and primary injection equipment is an advantage. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Willingness to work at project sites for extended hours or in shifts during testing and commissioning activities. B.Eng./B.Sc./HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
