Reporting to the MD/CEO, the Chief Operating Officer leads all operational activities of the company across Nigeria driving nationwide expansion, operational excellence, and profitability, while managing partner performance, reducing portfolio default, and ensuring every region meets the company’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Business Expansion & Growth Develop and execute the nationwide expansion strategy, identifying and prioritizing new markets. Lead the launch, activation, and stabilization of new operational locations. Build strategic relationships with unions, government agencies, financial institutions, and OEMs, and drive customer acquisition and fleet-deployment targets. Operations Management: Monitor fleet deployment, activation, utilization, and asset performance. Improve efficiency and service delivery while reducing costs and ensuring regulatory compliance. Oversee daily operations across all states, applying policies and standards consistently.c Portfolio & Default Management: Hold Regional Managers accountable for collection efficiency and portfolio quality. Monitor repayment performance across all regions and act early on adverse trends. Develop strategies to minimize partner and customer defaults, and drive recovery of delinquent accounts. Regional & Team Performance: Supervise and develop Regional Managers, State Managers, and Operations Teams. Coach teams and build management depth to raise accountability and results. Set KPIs, conduct operational audits and field inspections, and review performance. Financial & Commercial Performance: Partner with Finance to improve revenue collection, profitability, and cost control. Review business performance and recommend data-driven improvements. Ensure operational and financial targets are met within approved budgets. Stakeholder, Risk & Compliance: Manage relationships with financial partners, OEMs, unions, and government agencies, ensuring SLAs are met. Strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud, leakage, and operational losses. Identify operational and financial risks and implement mitigation measures. Reporting: Provide the MD/CEO with regular reports on expansion, fleet deployment, portfolio and default performance, KPIs, revenue, regional performance, and compliance. Key Performance Indicators Regional performance against targets and customer satisfaction. Revenue growth, profitability, and operational cost efficiency. Fleet activation and utilization rates. Compliance with operational policies and regulatory standards. Expansion targets met, with timely opening and stabilization of new locations. Portfolio default rate within approved limits, and strong collection efficiency. Requirements: Industry Experience: Experience: within the mobility, transportation, logistics, fleet management, or related industries is highly desirable. Exposure to two-wheeler or three-wheeler operations/businesses will be a strong advantage. Proven track record managing multi-state operations across Nigeria Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification is an advantage Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Logistics, or a closely related field. Leadership Experience: Candidates who have previously occupied a C-Level or equivalent senior executive position will be strongly preferred. Experience: 10–15 years of relevant professional experience, with senior management experience: in mobility, transport, logistics, fleet management, fintech, banking, or asset financing.
