We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Sales, Senior Associate / Manager — Electric Mobility Location : Lagos (Hybrid) Department: Sales & Growth Reports to: Senior Manager Sales The Role The candidate will work closely with credit, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class sales experience: and help Rivy become the leading financing partner for electric vehicle adoption across the region. The Sales, Senior Associate / Manager will drive the growth of Rivy's lending portfolio and digital storefront with a specific focus on electric vehicle (EV) financing and clean energy product sales. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience: selling electric vehicles or EV-adjacent products, and will use that expertise to develop targeted sales strategies, grow Rivy's EV customer base, and build lasting commercial relationships in the clean mobility and energy transition space. This role sits at the intersection of clean energy finance and the rapidly growing EV market in Nigeria and West Africa. Job Responsibilities: Sales Strategy and Planning: Forecast EV sales performance based on market adoption trends, previous sales data, and strategic initiatives within the clean mobility sector. Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales analyst and associate, with particular emphasis on EV product lines and EnergyStack conversions. Identify new business opportunities in the EV and clean energy space — including fleet operators, EV dealerships, logistics companies, and last-mile delivery businesses — to expand Rivy's reach. Develop and implement effective sales strategies specifically tailored to the electric vehicle and clean energy financing market, aligned with Rivy's overall growth objectives. Team Leadership and Development: Provide training and guidance on electric vehicle product knowledge, EV financing structures, and sales techniques tailored to the EV buyer journey. Conduct regular performance reviews with the sales team, providing feedback, goal-setting, and development plans that include EV-specific competency growth. Foster a high-performance, innovation-oriented culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results in a fast-moving clean energy market. Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales associates to achieve individual and team sales targets across all clean energy product lines, including EVs. Client Relationship Management: Assist in negotiating and closing high-value EV financing deals and complex clean energy transactions, ensuring favourable terms for both the client and Rivy. Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure smooth post-sale experiences, particularly for EV customers navigating financing for the first time. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners in the EV ecosystem — including dealers, fleet managers, corporate buyers, and government institutions. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving, transparent communication about EV financing terms, and excellent post-sale support. Sales Performance Monitoring: Use CRM tools to track all sales activities, EV financing opportunities, and client interactions with precision and consistency. Identify areas of underperformance — including in EV product conversion rates — and develop corrective action plans to drive improvements. Monitor the performance of the sales team through regular reporting, analysing EV and clean energy sales activities, and tracking performance against set goals. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Analyse customer feedback and competitor strategies in the EV financing and clean mobility space to continuously refine Rivy's sales approach. Adjust sales tactics as necessary based on evolving EV market conditions, new model launches, and shifts in customer demand. Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed on EV industry trends in Nigeria and across West Africa — including regulatory developments, government incentives, and competitor activity. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams; Partner with the engineering team to provide customer feedback that shapes product development and improvements to EnergyStack and EV financing offerings. Work closely with marketing to align EV-focused sales campaigns, promotional activities, and lead-generation strategies targeting the clean mobility segment. Collaborate with the credit and risk teams to develop EV-specific financing products that are competitive, accessible, and aligned with asset risk profiles. Sales Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales metrics including EV portfolio performance, team output, revenue growth, and forecasting by product line. Maintain a detailed and accurate sales pipeline, with specific tracking of EV deals at each stage of the financing cycle. Present EV sales data and performance updates to senior management and propose strategies for growth and market expansion. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage the sales team budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximise ROI, with attention to EV-specific marketing and outreach costs. Ensure the sales team has the tools, EV product training, and operational support necessary to meet their targets and deliver a high-quality customer experience. Qualifications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset. Bachelor's degree. Meet required financial targets/sales budgets. EV Sales Experience: At least 2 years of direct experience: in electric vehicle sales or EV-adjacent products (e.g. EV charging infrastructure, EV fleet management, e-mobility services). This is a key requirement. Sector Knowledge:Demonstrable understanding of the EV market landscape in Nigeria or West Africa, including key players, regulatory environment, and customer acquisition dynamics.
