The successful candidate will play a crucial role in telling our story, engaging stakeholders, and promoting our mission to empower youth, children and women across communities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Communication Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals Create and maintain YcDEI’s brand consistency across all communication channels Support fundraising efforts and organization branding through compelling storytelling and donor communications Content Creation & Management Produce high-quality written content including press releases, newsletters, blog posts and reports for social media platforms and website Develop multimedia content including flyer designs, social media posts designs, photography, videos, and infographics Maintain and update organizational website and online presence Create program documentation and success stories Media Relations & Outreach Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers Coordinate media interviews and press conferences Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on organizational visibility Stakeholder Engagement Develop communication materials for various audiences including donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the general public Coordinate with program staff to gather stories and updates from field activities Support partnership development through effective communication materials Digital Communications Manage organizational social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) Manage contents on the organization website Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns Monitor online engagement and analyze communication metrics Implement SEO best practices for web content QUALIFICATION REQUIRED Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field Minimum 2-3 years of experience: in communications, preferably in the non-profit or development sector Proven experience: in content creation, media relations, and digital communications Knowledge of youth development programs and challenges Experience: in crisis communication and reputation management Previous experience: in community engagement and grassroots communications SKILLS REQUIRED Excellent written, verbal and storytelling communication skills in English Proficiency in graphics designing (Evidence of portfolio is an added advantage) Proficiency in social media content management systems Experience: with photography and video production/editing Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and social media analytics Familiarity with fundraising communications Creative thinking and problem-solving skills Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation software (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Premier Pro, or similar tools).
