The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods at competitive prices. Key Responsibilities: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure timely delivery of purchased goods. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the Inventory Officer to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate procurement documentation. Prepare periodic procurement reports and perform other duties as assigned by Management. Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues promptly. Verify the quality and quantity of supplied goods against purchase orders. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Conduct market surveys to identify new suppliers, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices. Source and procure products, materials, and supplies required for daily supermarket operations. Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Male candidates are preferred based on the client's operational requirements. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Willingness to reside in the company's shared staff accommodation. Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience: sourcing a wide range of supermarket products and managing supplier relationships. Minimum of 3 years of experience: as a Procurement Officer within a supermarket or retail business is mandatory. Ability to work independently and make sound purchasing decisions. Good knowledge of the Lagos market, supplier network, and major commercial areas. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Salary N180,000 / month.
