FMR Agency is recruiting a proactive and resourceful Procurement Officer to support the procurement operations of a fast-paced supermarket business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate procurement documentation. Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues promptly. Conduct market surveys to identify new suppliers, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure timely delivery of purchased goods. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the Inventory Officer to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. Source and procure products, materials, and supplies required for daily supermarket operations. Verify the quality and quantity of supplied goods against purchase orders. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Prepare periodic procurement reports and perform other duties as assigned by Management. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience: as a Procurement Officer is mandatory. Good knowledge of the Lagos market, supplier network, and major commercial areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to reside in the company's shared staff accommodation. Proven experience: sourcing a wide range of supermarket products and managing supplier relationships. Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to work independently and make sound purchasing decisions. Salary N180,000 Monthly.
