Read more about this company Investor Services Analyst Job Type Full Time , Hybrid Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate Experience: 2 years Location Lagos City Lekki Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Role Description: Responsibilities: as an Investor Services Analyst involve providing a wide range of support services to members of the investment teams, and clients. Maintain and Update investors accounts and records, deal with any queries, reconciliations and prepare portfolio reports. Managing proper trade execution with counterparties and settlement team, daily portfolio valuation and return analysis to our investment team while cross checking this data for accuracy. The role also supports general ledger reconciliations, accounting entries, fund accounting activities, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: Process client investment transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, maturities, rollovers, terminations, and payment instructions accurately and within agreed timelines. Capture, maintain, and validate investor, transaction, portfolio, and accounting data within the Fund Management System, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Maintain accurate operational records and supporting documentation, including client instructions, trade confirmations, and accounting schedules. Monitor corporate action announcements and ensure their accurate recording and timely processing. Support trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation by liaising with brokers, custodians, settlement banks, registrars, and other counterparties. Perform daily cash, bank, General Ledger (GL), trade, and portfolio reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items promptly. Upload and validate market data, including equity prices, bond mark-to-market prices, fund prices, and exchange rates, within the Fund Management System. Prepare and post journal entries relating to investment transactions and other approved accounting adjustments. Update the Fund Management System to reflect approved fund expense payments and other settled obligations. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and the preparation of supporting schedules for fund accounting and financial reporting. Support AML/CFT/KYC/CDD/CRS processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational controls. Identify and escalate operational exceptions while recommending process improvements. Support initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and the growth of Assets Under Management (AUM). Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Investor Services. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred), Finance, Economics, or related discipline. Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience: ICAN or ACCA (completed or in view) is an added advantage. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of financial markets (fixed income, mutual funds, or portfolio operations is an advantage) High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline Proficiency in MS Excel (mandatory) Familiarity with accounting principles or financial reporting is an advantage Experience: using a Fund Management System or other financial applications is an added advantage.
