The Inventory Team Lead supervises a team of inventory operators at Jumia, ensuring accurate and efficient management of stock within the warehouse, from receiving through cycle counts and reporting. What You Will Be Doing Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage inbound shipments and resolve receiving discrepancies. Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance to senior management. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Train and mentor inventory operators on procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Supervise and lead a team of inventory operators, providing guidance, support, and coaching. Assign tasks and responsibilities: to team members, ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines. Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, updating records and generating KPI reports. Oversee receiving, storing, counting, and tracking of inventory levels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes. What We Are Looking For Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proven experience: in warehouse operations or inventory management, with demonstrated leadership skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have NYSC certificate or possess a valid exemption letter Candidate must be based in Abuja. Proficiency in inventory management systems (IMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and related tools. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and systems.
