We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Locations : Abuja and Ogun Job Type: Full Time Job Purpose The role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, improving asset utilization, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting production operations to achieve operational excellence and business objectives. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Support and maintain inventory requirements: for mechanical component. Extract and analyze mechanical data for production process. Support corrective maintenance and ensure proper troubleshooting and knowledge transfer. Collaborate and manage external resources as regards to machine repairs. Develop and implement machine maintenance and repair policy. Support the entire plant in machine repairs during shift and minimize losses from machine breakdown. Carry out machine performance breakdown analysis. Evaluate the performance of shift technicians and maintenance technicians with regards to solving machine issues. Assess and train technicians and operators in basic machine repairs. Manage repair activities and modification process. Prepare, execute and evaluate required machine breakdown history to minimize repair time Qualifications Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience: in a well-structured FMCG (botting) company, with specific expertise in Krones Machines. First Degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Control System Engineering. Required Skills & Competencies: Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Skills Knowledge of Mechanical Control System Bottling Equipment Overhauling and Troubleshooting Skills HACCP, GHK and GMP Compliance Monitoring Skills.
