The goal of this role is simple: the physical stock on the shelf must match the stock management system, at all times. Monthly counts, ahead of each month's financial close, are the main tool for this. Min Qualification: Vocational Experience: Level: No Experience: Experience: Length: No Experience/Less than 1 year Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - Flexible Hours Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Conduct a full physical count of each company's stock each month, ahead of the monthly close. Count every item against the stock list (book quantity) for each company, and record the counted quantity, your name, and the date on the count sheet. Investigate any difference between the book quantity and the counted quantity, and correct the stock management system so it matches the physical count — the physical stock and the system must agree at all times. Not only at month end. Report any unresolved difference to the MD and each company's accounting team before that company's close is finalised. Check stock condition during each count and flag damaged, expired, or missing items. Submit completed count sheets to the manager and each company's accounting team within 24 hours of each count. Support spot counts requested outside the regular schedule, for either company, to confirm the system still matches the physical stock. Keep count records organised and easy to trace back to a specific company and count date. Requirements: Based in Lagos, able to attend both count locations in person on scheduled count days. Accurate, patient, and comfortable with repetitive, detail-heavy work. Comfortable with basic data entry on a phone or computer (spreadsheets, WhatsApp, photos). Able to learn and use the company's stock management system to update quantities after each count. Honest and reliable this role is a financial control point for two companies.
