Role Description This is a full-time remote role based in Nigeria for an Artists Relationship Manager at The SM Records. The Artists Relationship Manager will maintain and grow relationships with artists and labels, serving as a primary point of contact for onboarding, support, and partnership development. Day-to-day responsibilities: include guiding artists through distribution processes, coordinating digital rights management and content monetization activities, and ensuring accurate catalog management and royalty reporting. The role involves monitoring performance on streaming platforms, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to address artist needs and resolve operational issues. The person in this role will also contribute to artist education: on digital rights, revenue models, and best practices, while supporting initiatives that enhance artist satisfaction and long-term retention. Qualifications Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional partnerships with artists, labels, and content creators. Knowledge of the music industry, particularly digital distribution, streaming platforms, rights management, and content monetization, preferably with experience: in the African or Nigerian music market. Solid organizational and administrative skills, including experience: with catalog management, data entry, and tracking artist accounts and releases. Analytical abilities to interpret royalty reports, performance analytics, and platform insights, and to translate data into actionable recommendations for artists. Proficiency with digital tools and platforms (e.g., music distribution dashboards, content ID systems, spreadsheets, CRM tools) and comfort working in a fully remote environment. Problem-solving mindset and customer-centric approach, with the capacity to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and manage expectations in a timely, professional manner.
