Read more about this company Finance Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: Location Lagos City Yaba Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Key Responsibilities/Technical Experience: Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and present: Monthly Management Accounts Profit & Loss (P&L) statements per outlet and brand Cash flow reports Analyze financial performance and highlight key trends and risks. Provide actionable insights timprove profitability. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Cost Control & Profitability Management Monitor and control: Food Cost Percentage (FC%) Operational expenses Labour cost (in collaboration with HR & Operations) Conduct variance analysis on: Food cost Wastage Inventory usage Partner with Operations and Kitchen leadership toptimize margins. Track contribution margins per outlet. Revenue Assurance & Controls Ensure accurate revenue capture across all channels: Review of sales reconciliation reports. Strengthen internal financial controls across outlets. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management Oversee vendor payments and ensure timely processing. Manage accounts receivable including corporate and bulk clients. Maintain strong vendor relationships with financial discipline. Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all transactions. Inventory Financial Oversight Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders tmonitor inventory, valuation and usage. Track stock variances and shrinkage. Ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting. Fixed Asset Register Review, tag and maintained the fixed asset register Ensure accurate record in line with the Sop manual. Compliance, Audit & Controls Ensure compliance with Internal policies, Financial regulations, Tax requirements: Support internal and external audits. Implement and maintain strong internal control systems. Systems & Process Optimization Drive efficiency in financial processes. Leverage ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) for reporting and tracking. Improve financial workflows and reporting automation. Ensure data accuracy across all financial systems. Leadership & Team Management Lead and develop Finance team members. Set performance targets and KPIs. Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and discipline. Train non-finance teams on financial awareness where needed. What Success Looks Like In This Role: Disciplined Cost Management & Improved Margins Food cost percentage, operational expenses, and wastage are tightly controlled within approved thresholds, with continuous improvement in gross margins. Accurate, Timely, and Insightful Financial Reporting Monthly financial reports are delivered on time, error-free, and provide clear, actionable insights that influence strategic and operational decisions. Effective Revenue Assurance & ZerLeakages All revenue streams (POS, third-party platforms, online channels) are accurately captured and reconciled, with minimal discrepancies and strong internal controls. Improved Inventory & Cost of Goods Management Inventory is accurately tracked, stock variances are minimized, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reflects true operational efficiency. Finance as a Strategic Business Partner Finance actively supports Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing with insights that drive better decision-making, efficiency, and profitability.
