We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Total Rewards Officer Location: Magodo, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is seeking a highly analytical, strategic and detail-oriented Total Rewards Officer to join our Human Resources team. This role will combine compensation and benefits: administration with reward analytics, salary benchmarking, job evaluation, employee recognition and reward programme management. The successful candidate will support the development and administration of the Company's total rewards framework, ensuring that compensation, benefits, recognition and employee reward programmes are competitive, equitable, cost-effective and aligned with business objectives. The Role The successful candidate will be expected to use data and market intelligence to provide insights that support Management's compensation and reward decisions. The role will work closely with HR, Finance, Payroll and Management to ensure that the Company's reward structures are accurate, competitive, internally equitable and compliant with applicable laws and Company policies. The Total Rewards Officer will support the design, implementation and administration of reward programmes that attract, motivate and retain high-performing employees. Key Responsibilities: Total Rewards Strategy & Administration: Maintain accurate documentation of reward structures, programmes and employee eligibility. Support the implementation of the Company's Total Rewards strategy in alignment with business objectives. Support the development of reward policies, guidelines and procedures. Assist in developing and maintaining compensation and reward frameworks across the organisation. Review existing reward practices and recommend improvements based on business needs, employee expectations and market trends. Ensure reward programmes are consistently and fairly administered across employee groups. Compensation Management: Analyse compensation data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies and potential internal equity concerns. Process approved salary adjustments arising from promotions, confirmations, transfers, annual reviews and other employee movements. Administer salary structures, salary bands, allowances and other fixed and variable compensation components. Support the development and review of incentive and variable-pay programmes. Review compensation changes for accuracy, appropriate approvals and alignment with established salary structures. Support annual salary review and merit increase exercises. Salary Benchmarking & Market Intelligence: Conduct regular salary benchmarking against relevant industries, sectors and labour markets. Participate in external salary surveys and compensation benchmarking exercises. Support Management in making evidence-based compensation decisions. Prepare reports showing the Company's pay position relative to relevant market benchmarks. Analyse market data and provide recommendations on salary positioning. Monitor compensation trends and emerging reward practices. Job Evaluation, Grading & Salary Structures: Ensure approved job and salary structures are accurately reflected in HR records. Assist in maintaining the Company's job grading framework. Identify and report potential internal pay equity issues. Review jobs to ensure appropriate alignment between job responsibilities, grades and compensation. Support the development and maintenance of salary ranges and pay bands. Support job evaluation and classification exercises. Employee Benefits: Manage employee eligibility, enrolment, changes and exits relating to benefit programmes. Liaise with HMO providers, insurers, pension administrators and other benefit service providers. Coordinate the administration of employee benefits: in line with approved Company policies. Support periodic reviews of benefits: to assess competitiveness, utilisation and cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate employee benefit records. Provide employees with clear information on their benefit entitlements. Monitor service provider performance and resolve benefit-related issues. Payroll & Reward Controls: Maintain strong controls to prevent unauthorised payments, errors and overpayments. Ensure all reward-related changes have appropriate approvals and supporting documentation. Conduct reconciliation and validation checks to identify payroll discrepancies. Provide accurate compensation and benefits: inputs to Payroll and Finance. Validate salary changes, allowances, deductions, incentives, bonuses and other reward-related payroll inputs. Investigate and resolve compensation-related payroll queries. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with relevant statutory bodies and service providers where required. Monitor changes in PAYE, pension and other statutory requirements: that may impact employee rewards. Support compliance with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations affecting employee compensation and benefits. Support internal and external audits relating to compensation and benefits. Ensure reward processes are consistent with applicable employment and statutory requirements. Performance & Incentive Rewards: Assist with the administration of bonuses, incentives and other variable-pay schemes. Support the design and administration of performance-linked reward programmes. Analyse incentive programme effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement. Work with HR and Management to ensure reward outcomes are appropriately aligned with performance and business results. Ensure incentive programmes are applied consistently and accurately. Recognition & Employee Reward Programmes: Coordinate long-service awards, performance recognition, spot awards and other approved recognition initiatives. Ensure recognition initiatives support the Company's culture and desired behaviours. Monitor participation and effectiveness of recognition programmes. Support the development and administration of employee recognition programmes. Recommend innovative and cost-effective ways to recognise and reward employees. Reward Analytics & Reporting: Develop regular Total Rewards reports and dashboards for HR and Management. Provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning and reward decisions. Prepare compensation and benefits: reports for Management decision-making. Analyse employee compensation by grade, function, location and other relevant categories. Track reward-related KPIs and identify emerging trends. Analyse salary structures, compensation costs, benefits: utilisation and reward trends. Reward Budgeting & Cost Management: Identify opportunities to optimise reward costs without compromising employee value. Support Management with cost-impact analysis for proposed reward initiatives. Support the preparation of annual compensation and benefits: budgets. Analyse the financial impact of proposed salary reviews, allowances, benefits: and incentive schemes. Monitor reward expenditure against approved budgets. Employee Communication & Advisory: Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee compensation information. Respond to employee enquiries relating to compensation, benefits: and reward programmes. Explain reward policies, salary structures and benefit provisions clearly and professionally. Support the development of employee total reward statements where applicable. Prepare employee communication materials relating to reward initiatives. Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to HR systems and reward administration processes. Review Total Rewards processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy and employee experience. Support automation and digitisation of compensation and benefits: processes where appropriate. Develop and maintain appropriate process documentation and controls. Ensure reward processes are consistently applied across the organisation. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Relations or a related discipline. Professional certification or membership of CIPM, SHRM, WorldatWork, ICAN, ACCA or another relevant professional body will be an advantage. Strong communication and employee advisory skills. Good knowledge of Nigerian payroll, PAYE, pension and other relevant statutory requirements. Demonstrable experience: in salary benchmarking, job evaluation, grading and compensation analysis. Strong organisational skills and ability to work with multiple deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to work with confidential employee data. Strong numerical, analytical and data interpretation skills. Strong understanding of compensation structures, salary administration and employee benefits. Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience: in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll or a related HR function. Ability to analyse complex data and convert findings into practical recommendations. Experience: supporting incentive, bonus and employee recognition programmes.
