We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Backend Developer Job Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the server-side applications, APIs, databases, and systems that power our digital products. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain reliable backend applications and APIs. Design, manage, and optimize databases. Build secure and scalable server-side systems. Integrate third-party services and APIs where required. Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and system errors. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other technical teams. Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code. Monitor application performance and implement improvements. Ensure proper data security, system reliability, and access control. Participate in code reviews, testing, and software development processes. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience: as a Backend Developer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of at least one backend programming language such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, PHP, Java, or C#. Experience: working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server. Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Knowledge of Git/version control systems.
