As the Proposal Development & Partnerships Associate, you will play a key role in driving NerdzFactory’s growth by identifying funding opportunities, developing high-quality proposals, and supporting strategic partnerships across the public, private, and development sectors. Working closely with the Business Operations Lead and cross-functional teams, you will lead and support proposal development processes, partnership engagement, and business development initiatives that expand the organisation’s programmes and services. The role requires a professional with strong proposal writing, research, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills, who can collaborate effectively with internal teams while contributing to the organisation’s growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Proposal Development: Maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities and proposal submissions. Lead and support the development of high-quality grant, partnership, and project proposals aligned with NerdzFactory’s strategic priorities. Collaborate with programme teams, technical experts, and leadership to gather inputs required for proposal submissions. Monitor and source relevant tenders, bids, grants, and partnership opportunities across donor platforms, government procurement portals, and development networks, assessing their alignment with NerdzFactory’s strategic priorities. Conduct research on donor priorities, funding opportunities, and development trends to inform proposal development. Ensure proposals are well-structured, compelling, and aligned with donor requirements: and guidelines. Business Development & Strategy: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships that align with the organisation’s mission. Provide insights and analysis on market trends, donor landscape, and emerging opportunities. Support the development and implementation of business development strategies to expand NerdzFactory’s programmes and services. Collaborate with the Business Operations Lead in formulating and executing strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement: Support engagement with partners to explore collaborative projects, programmes, and initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, development partners, corporate organisations, and strategic stakeholders. Represent the organisation in meetings, partnership discussions, and strategic engagements when required. Cross-Team Collaboration & Programme Support: Work closely with programme teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and programme delivery. Collaborate with team leads to support the successful execution of projects linked to partnership and funding opportunities. Support the placement team in promoting and expanding talent outsourcing and recruitment services to businesses and SMEs, helping to create opportunities for talent placement. Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide regular reports on business development activities, proposal progress, partnership engagements, and key performance indicators. Track and document proposal submissions, partnership engagements, and opportunity pipelines. Qualifications and Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. Experience: working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Development Studies, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously. Proven experience: in proposal writing, grant development, or business development, preferably within the development, consulting, or social impact sector. Demonstrated experience: developing proposals, concept notes, or funding applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Personal Attributes: Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills. Sales or partnership development experience: is an added advantage. Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and contribute to organisational growth.
