We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: DevOps & Network Engineer (Fintech – POS & Payment Systems) Location : Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: CTO / Head of Technology / Infrastructure Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps & Network Engineer with strong experience: in fintech infrastructure, POS deployments, and high-availability payment systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native microservices infrastructure, and secure network connectivity for POS terminals, payment gateways, and transaction switching systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in ensuring 99.9%+ uptime for real-time financial transactions. Key Responsibilities: DevOps & Infrastructure (Fintech-Focused): Implement DevSecOps practices aligned with PCI-DSS standards. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fintech applications and APIs. Optimize system performance for high transaction throughput. Set up secure VPN tunnels between POS devices and backend servers. Manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes). Implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Maintain database reliability for wallet systems and reconciliation engines. Manage microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes clusters. Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of payment processing systems. Network Engineering & Security: Maintain redundancy across primary and secondary data centers. Implement secure API gateways and reverse proxies. Implement DDoS protection strategies. Monitor network latency affecting transaction processing. Manage firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS systems. Design secure fintech network architecture (segmentation, DMZ, zero-trust). Configure load balancers (HAProxy, NGINX, F5). Manage DNS, SSL certificates, and secure communication channels. Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and regulatory requirements.
