The successful candidate will provide investment leadership, identify market opportunities, manage client portfolios, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative fixed income solutions that support the firm's growth objectives. The Head/Manager, Fixed Income is responsible for leading the firm's fixed income investment strategy, portfolio management, and trading activities across money market instruments, government securities, corporate debt, and other fixed income products. The role is responsible for maximizing portfolio performance while ensuring compliance with the firm's investment policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. Key Internal & External Interactions Internal Interactions: Funds Team Chief Investment Officer Wealth Management External Interactions: Counterparties & Financial Institutions Legal and Compliance Institutional Investors & HNIs Finance Credit Rating Agencies Key Responsibilities: Portfolio Management Industry experts, Investment Partners & Asset Managers,Regulatory Bodies: Optimize portfolio performance through effective duration management, yield enhancement, and asset allocation. Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and recommend rebalancing strategies. Manage fixed income portfolios across government securities, treasury bills, bonds, commercial papers, corporate debt, Eurobonds, and money market instruments. Conduct portfolio reviews and provide investment recommendations. Develop and execute fixed income investment strategies aligned with the firm's investment objectives and client mandates. Investment Research & Market Analysis: Analyze interest rate movements, inflation trends, monetary policy, and economic indicators. Evaluate new investment opportunities and prepare investment memoranda. Conduct macroeconomic, credit, and market research to identify investment opportunities. Develop interest rate forecasts and yield curve analyses. Produce investment outlooks and fixed income market commentary. Trading & Execution: Ensure efficient trade settlement and post-trade monitoring. Monitor market liquidity and pricing to optimize trade execution. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, banks, dealers, and market counterparties. Identify arbitrage and trading opportunities within approved risk limits. Execute fixed income trades in accordance with approved investment mandates. Credit & Investment Risk Management: Ensure adherence to investment guidelines, risk limits, and regulatory requirements. Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis on investment portfolios. Work closely with the Risk Management team to strengthen portfolio resilience. Assess credit quality and investment risks associated with fixed income securities. Monitor portfolio exposure to interest rate, liquidity, credit, and concentration risks. Client Advisory & Business Development Build and maintain strong client relationships to support asset growth and retention. Support the preparation of investment proposals, pitch books, and presentations. Provide fixed income investment advisory services to institutional and high-net-worth clients. Participate in client meetings, investment committees, and business development initiatives. Develop customized investment solutions to meet client objectives. Product Development: Contribute to innovation in investment solutions and portfolio construction. Support the design and launch of fixed income investment products and funds. Identify new investment opportunities across local and international debt markets. Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, and operations teams to launch new investment offerings. Leadership & Team Management: Drive continuous learning and professional development within the team. Allocate responsibilities: and oversee investment research and portfolio activities. Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and ethical investment culture. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Fixed Income team. Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance and fiduciary responsibilities. Prepare investment committee papers and portfolio performance reports. Support internal and external audits relating to investment activities. Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, investment mandates, and internal investment policies. Maintain accurate investment documentation and transaction records. Requirements: Deep expertise in macroeconomic research, performance analytics, portfolio optimization, and risk mitigation techniques. CFA, CAIA, or FRM certification preferred. Minimum of 6–9 years of experience: in fixed income portfolio management, treasury, asset management, or investment research. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: within an asset management firm, investment bank, pension fund administrator, or financial institution is highly preferred. MBA or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or a related discipline is an advantage. Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements: relevant to investment governance. Demonstrated experience: managing institutional or client investment portfolios.
