The role ensures timely truck availability, cost optimization, and the development of a reliable network of transport vendors to support efficient logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Source and onboard third-party (3PL) trucks in line with operational and dispatch schedules Build and maintain strong relationships with transport companies and independent truck owners Negotiate competitive haulage rates to ensure cost efficiency without compromising service quality Ensure timely deployment of trucks for scheduled pick-ups and deliveries Develop and maintain an updated database of approved truck vendors and transport partners Liaise daily with transport providers to confirm truck availability, capacity, and readiness Monitor market trends in haulage rates, truck availability, and logistics operations Prepare and submit regular reports on sourcing activities, vendor performance, and market intelligence Requirements Candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related field 1–2 years of experience in truck sourcing, logistics coordination, or transport operations Existing network of transport companies and truck owners is a strong advantage Proven experience in negotiation, vendor management, and cost control Key Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills Good knowledge of Lagos haulage market, routes, and transport trends Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics tracking tools Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application Interested and qualified?
