This role is vital to ensuring our chefs have the tools they need and our guests dine on spotless service ware. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the unloading of delivery trucks and the organized rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Execute a rigorous cleaning schedule for floors, walls, and ceiling vents to meet health department regulations. Perform basic food preparation tasks during peak periods, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, under the guidance of the Sous Chef. Empty, sanitize, and reline waste bins; manage the separation of recycling, compost, and general waste. Sort and stack cleaned items systematically to prevent breakage and ensure quick access for the line team. Wash cookware, delicate glassware, and specialized culinary tools (mandolines, blenders, etc.) according to safety standards. Operate industrial dishwashing machinery, ensuring correct chemical dilutions and temperatures are maintained.
