Funar is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled ICT Officer / Instructor to manage our IT infrastructure and deliver engaging Computer Studies / ICT lessons to students. This dual role combines technical systems management with classroom instruction. Key Responsibilities: ICT Instruction: Plan and deliver interactive, practical ICT curriculum/lessons according to the school syllabus. Technical Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair school hardware, software, network infrastructure, and computer laboratory equipment. Digital Tools Management: Administer school management portals, email systems, and educational platforms. System Maintenance: Ensure regular software updates, antivirus protections, data backups, and internet security protocols are enforced across all school devices. Classroom Management: Assess student progress, grade practical tasks/tests, and foster a safe, creative learning environment in the computer lab. Staff Support: Provide basic tech support and digital literacy training to teaching and administrative staff when needed. Qualifications & Requirements: Proven experience: as an ICT teacher/instructor and system administrator (preferably in an academic environment) Proficiency in digital teaching tools and modern e-learning platforms. Strong classroom management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on expertise in hardware maintenance, networking basics, operating systems, and core software applications. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
