The City Manager oversees Absen's retail / service presence and field operations within a specific city, managing local staff, coordinating installations and after-sales service, and driving local sales performance. The role reports to the Regional Manager and works closely with the Technical Manager on local technical matters. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with local artisans, electricians, and contractors who support installation work. Achieve monthly / quarterly sales and installation targets for the city. Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and HSE standards at the city location. Supervise local staff (sales representatives, technicians, support staff), including scheduling, performance management, and training. Maintain accurate records of local sales, inventory, and installation activities, and report these to the Regional Manager. Monitor local competitor activity and market trends, and report insights to the Regional Manager. Manage local marketing and promotional activities in coordination with the regional / head office marketing team. Coordinate with the Technical Manager and field technicians on installation scheduling and technical issue resolution. Identify local business development opportunities, including partnerships with local distributors, real estate developers, and community organizations. Attend to walk-in customers and manage local customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support requests. Manage the day-to-day operations of Absen's city location, including sales, installations, and customer service. Ensure the city location/outlet is well-maintained, properly stocked, and presented in line with Absen's brand standards. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience: in retail sales, operations, or team supervision, preferably in renewable energy, consumer electronics, telecoms, or FMCG. Experience: managing a small team is required. Prior experience: with solar / renewable energy products is an advantage but not mandatory. Required Skills: Team leadership and people management skills. Good working knowledge of solar / renewable energy products (or willingness to be trained). Strong sales and customer service skills. Good communication and reporting skills. Basic financial / inventory management skills. Local market knowledge and community relationship-building skills. Other Requirements: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned city. Valid means of identification and verifiable references required. Must be willing to work retail hours, including weekends where required. Remuneration Competitive salary commensurate with experience, to be determined by HR / Finance in line with Absen's salary structure.
