We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Fibre Engineer Location: Ajah / Lekki, Lagos Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, connections, splicing, and equipment. Conduct fiber optic cable testing using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment. Monitor fiber network performance and resolve technical issues promptly. Identify and troubleshoot fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of fiber tools and equipment. Ensure all fiber installations comply with company standards and safety procedures. Respond to customer and network-related fiber faults when required. Work with NOC, Technical Support, and Operations teams to resolve network issues. Carry out fiber route surveys and assist with network planning and deployment. Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber optic infrastructure. Requirements: Practical experience: in fiber optic installation and maintenance. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of fiber splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Willingness to work on-site and respond to emergency network faults when required. Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. Ability to use OTDR, optical power meter, fusion splicer, and related tools.
