We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior AI Engineer Location: Lagos Job type: Full-time Role Description Day-to-day responsibilities: include collaborating with product and engineering teams to define AI requirements, building and optimizing machine learning pipelines, writing high-quality production-level code, and integrating AI solutions into existing software platforms. The Senior AI Engineer will also conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, ensure scalability and reliability of AI services, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Additionally, the role involves staying current with emerging AI technologies and recommending tools and frameworks that can improve Conclase’s technical offerings. The person in this role will design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models and systems, with a focus on solving complex business problems using pattern recognition, neural networks, and natural language processing. Qualifications Experience: designing and deploying AI systems in production environments, including model optimization, monitoring, and maintenance. Experience: working in cross-functional teams and mentoring other engineers; prior work in startup or fast-paced environments is an advantage. Hands-on experience: with Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, entity recognition, and language modeling. Strong foundation in Computer Science, with expertise in algorithms, data structures, and software development best practices. Advanced knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, including experience: building and training deep learning models. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, Java, or C++), and familiarity with AI / ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Ability to translate business requirements: into technical solutions and communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Banking or Fintech experience: is a plus.
