We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Quality Assurance and Quality Control Officer Location: No 1, Akaka Road, Ode Remo, Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically competent QA/QC Officer to join our automobile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring production processes, inspecting materials and vehicle components, identifying defects, and ensuring that products meet established quality, engineering, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of engineering principles and practical experience: in quality control within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues. Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality inspection procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and manufacturing standards. Conduct inspections and quality checks on raw materials, components, assemblies, and finished vehicles. Assist in developing and reviewing quality control procedures and inspection plans. Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and deviations from required standards. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved engineering specifications and quality standards. Maintain accurate quality inspection records, reports, checklists, and documentation. Prepare regular quality performance reports for management. Monitor supplier and incoming material quality where required. Investigate the root causes of defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring and testing equipment. Monitor implementation of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness. Qualifications and Requirements: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards is an advantage. Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience: in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably within an automobile, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment. Relevant professional certification in Quality Management, QA/QC, or Engineering will be an added advantage. Experience: using measuring and inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality-control equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong practical knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. Good knowledge of quality management systems, inspection procedures, and root-cause analysis. Good attention to detail and ability to work under production deadlines.
