Read more about this company Corporate Finance Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate Experience: 7 - 10 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit JOB PURPOSE To lead the Group's corporate financing function — raising funds from the money and capital markets, managing liquidity and cash flow across all entities, and identifying and mitigating financial risk — while providing financial analysis and forecasting that supports strategic decision-making and maintains overall financial discipline and accountability across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Funding & Capital Markets Strategy Lead the raising of funds from Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), local and foreign financial institutions, and the money and capital markets to provide liquidity for the business. Own the evaluation of funding options across debt and capital markets, using financial analysis, forecasts, and scenario modeling to guide decision-making. Develop and drive execution of funding plans that align with projected cash flows, business performance, and risk appetite. Lead refinancing initiatives, including cost of funds analysis and assessment of impact on overall financial performance. Engage effectively with internal business stakeholders to source accurate, timely data from the businesses, and use it to build well-informed fundraising memos and financial models for engagement with DFIs, financial institutions, and capital market investors. Cash & Liquidity Management Manage all entities’ cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity to meet financial obligations and optimize investment opportunities. Prepare and monitor cash flow projections to ensure alignment with funding obligations. Work with entity financial controllers to determine funding needs and allocations across the business. Risk Management & Compliance Identify and assess financial risks such as interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and liquidity risk, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Track and report on financial covenants, proactively identifying potential breaches and recommending mitigating actions. Manage all credit lines reporting. Financial Analysis, Forecasting & Reporting Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Create periodical reports on bank and DFI facility performance and manage repayment schedules. Provide timely and consistent financial information to support stakeholder reporting requirements: and maintain transparency throughout the funding lifecycle. Stakeholder, Lender & Banking Relationship Management Partner with the Head of Treasury on all banking relationships across the Group. Lead engagement with lenders and key stakeholders, providing financial analysis, covenant tracking, and performance insights. Lead negotiation of key funding terms such as pricing, tenor, covenants, and security structures, ensuring terms are commercially viable and aligned with the company’s financial position. Balance cost, flexibility, and risk across all financing arrangements. Team Leadership & Cross-Departmental Coordination Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for Corporate Finance Associates and analysts supporting the funding and treasury function. Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, and Legal teams to ensure the timely collection and submission of financial data for compliance reporting. Facilitate discussions between internal stakeholders to resolve covenant-related concerns and ensure alignment on reporting requirements. Represent Treasury in negotiations with lenders, providing accurate covenant compliance data and strategic insight. EDUCATION: HND/B.Sc in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance, or any other related field in data analysis or finance Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA or CFA required (or in final stages of completion) Computer literacyand advance user of excel is a must EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of working experience: in corporate finance, treasury, or capital markets, including demonstrated experience: in DFI financial covenant tracking and prior experience: managing or mentoring a team Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application Interested and qualified?
