We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Engineering - Wells Advisor III Location: QIT, Akwa Ibom Employment Type: Contract Main Functions In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization. The Wells Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role. Tasks and Responsibilities: In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 must: Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations. Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities. Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor) Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s and package acceptance Review and respond to spec deviation requests Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines. Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies. Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers. Support construction and commissioning efforts as required Review drawings and specifications Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations. Extensive experience: in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferably) Experience: required in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design Ability to organize and progress own work schedule Adaptability to changing priorities Experience: working within multi-disciplined team environment involving multiple stakeholders Advanced analytical and computing skills Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO) Strong interpersonal and communication skills How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV in MS Word to: [email protected] using the Job Title as the subject of the email.
