We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Victoria Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The role is highly revenue-focused and requires a commercially driven, strategic and relationship-oriented individual who can consistently identify opportunities, convert prospects and grow ORÍKÌ's partnership portfolio. The role holder will build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, hotels, HMOs, airlines, organisations, strategic partners, affiliates and other key stakeholders; identify new commercial opportunities; develop compelling proposals; negotiate commercial agreements; and ensure successful conversion and retention of partnerships. The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Managing Director and relevant internal teams to translate identified opportunities into commercially viable partnerships and ensure that agreed partnership commitments are effectively delivered. The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing strategic business opportunities and partnerships that drive revenue, brand visibility and sustainable growth across ORÍKÌ Group. The role will lead the development and execution of business development strategies across ORÍKÌ's wellness, spa, retail, wholesale, corporate, hospitality, amenity, training, franchise and other relevant business lines. Responsibilities: Business Development Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop partnership propositions that create measurable value for both ORÍKÌ and its partners. Ensure that agreed contractual and partnership commitments are fulfilled by both ORÍKÌ and its partners. Develop and negotiate commercial terms in collaboration with Management and relevant internal teams. Identify new markets, customer segments, industries and commercial opportunities that can generate revenue and expand ORÍKÌ's market presence. Identify, prospect and secure strategic partnerships with hotels, HMOs, airlines, corporates, hospitality groups, retailers, organisations, affiliates and other relevant businesses. Recommend new products, services, partnership models and commercial opportunities based on market intelligence and customer needs. Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Business: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with ORÍKÌ's overall business objectives and revenue targets. Achieve agreed quarterly and annual business development and partnership revenue targets. Maintain a structured database and pipeline of existing, prospective and strategic partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, corporate clients, partners and other stakeholders. Lead partnership discussions, presentations, negotiations and commercial engagements through to closure. Develop and maintain a robust business development pipeline, ensuring consistent movement of prospects from lead generation through conversion and partnership activation. Develop strategies to increase revenue and value from existing partnerships through renewals, upselling, cross-selling and expanded engagements. Develop commercial proposals, presentations and business cases tailored to prospective clients and partners. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and threats. Client & Partner Relationship Management: Serve as a key relationship contact for strategic clients and partners. Maintain regular engagement with partners to understand their needs, identify opportunities and address concerns. Gather and analyse client and partner feedback and make recommendations for improvement. Monitor partner satisfaction and ensure a high standard of service throughout the partnership lifecycle. Proactively anticipate and resolve relationship or service issues in collaboration with the relevant ORÍKÌ teams. Develop client retention and relationship management strategies to maximise long-term commercial value. Lead Generation & Business Conversion: Follow up consistently on leads and proposals to improve conversion rates. Track conversion performance and identify opportunities to improve the business development process. Develop and execute proactive lead-generation strategies through networking, referrals, market research, industry events, direct outreach and other relevant channels. Conduct meetings, presentations, pitches and business negotiations with prospective clients and partners. Build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and maintain accurate records of all business development activities. Commercial Proposals & Negotiations: Prepare compelling business proposals, partnership decks, presentations, quotations and commercial documents. Lead negotiations with prospective clients and partners within approved commercial parameters. Ensure all partnership agreements and commercial commitments receive the appropriate internal approvals before execution. Work with Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing and other relevant teams to ensure commercial agreements are viable and executable. Develop business cases and commercial models that demonstrate clear value propositions and expected returns. Cross-functional Partnership Execution: Ensure that partnerships translate into measurable commercial and brand outcomes. Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product, Spa, Retail, Manufacturing and other teams to ensure seamless implementation of partnerships. Ensure internal teams understand the objectives, requirements: and deliverables associated with each partnership. Monitor the implementation of partnership agreements and escalate challenges that may affect delivery or revenue. Events, Networking & Brand Representation: Represent ORÍKÌ at relevant industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, corporate meetings and business forums. Support the planning and execution of business development events and partnership activations. Build a strong professional network of potential clients, partners, influencers and business stakeholders. Identify opportunities for ORÍKÌ to participate in strategic events and industry initiatives that can generate business opportunities. Reporting, Analytics & Market Intelligence: Provide regular updates to the Managing Director on opportunities, risks, challenges and recommendations. Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, partnerships, revenue performance and conversion rates. Track partnership performance against agreed commercial objectives and KPIs. Analyse business development data and provide actionable insights to Management. Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, proposals, negotiations, partnerships and revenue generated. Requirements: Education: / Professional Qualification: Professional qualification on Project Management, CBDP etc will be an added advantage Relevant postgraduate and or professional qualification would be an added advantage. BA or BSc in Business Management or a related discipline Experience: Experience: with Business Development Management, Marketing and Partnerships is essential for this role. Must possess 4-5 years work experience: in BDM, Marketing or Sales. Salary N600,000 - N700,000 monthly.
